- Physical Examination
- • Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, under the arms or in the groin.
- • Swelling in the area of the tonsils, throat or upper airway.
- • Fluid around the lungs (pleural effusion).
- • Liver or spleen enlargement.
- • Abdominal mass.
- • Soft tissue swelling.
- • Tenderness when pressure is applied to areas of the skeleton.
- • Neurologic findings such as numbness or muscle weakness.

- Blood and Other Tests
- • Complete blood count may show circulating lymphoma cells or other blood abnormalities because of
- lymphoma in the bone marrow .
- • Blood chemistries may be abnormal because of the tumor or because of the involvement of bone, lungs, the
- liver or the kidneys.
- • HIV test.
